A Dream Inside
by Christine Burke
A Dream Inside is one of those books that can be enjoyed by children and adults of all ages. It is a book that will stir the dreams in the children who are reading or listening to it and will also touch the hearts of the adults and perhaps ignite the dreams that are inside them.
A Dream Inside is a children’s book about the life cycle of the monarch butterfly. Intertwined with the metamorphosis of the monarch butterfly and their amazing journey to Mexico is the lesson that we all come here with a purpose or dream inside us. Molly and Bella, two lovable caterpillars, become friends when they pop out of their eggs. Bella emerges from her egg knowing what her dream is and is determined to listen to it. Molly, on the other hand, has no idea what a dream is. Bella assures Molly that she does have a dream and encourages her to live in the moment, enjoy nature, surrender and listen. When the time is right, her dream will come to her. Molly learns that encountering obstacles, distractions, mistakes and naysayers along the way are simply reminders and opportunities for her to go within and listen to God, so she can discover her dream.
